Take a sheet of paper and hold it "landscape" (the long edges are on the top and bottom). Fold it in half, right to left, and then fold it again, right to left, to create four columns. Open up the page.
Label the top of each column Sp / Eng / Sp /Eng across the top.
In the first column, make a list of those words you are studying.
In the next column, write the translation in English.
NOW -- here comes the part where your learning happens! Fold the first column behind so you only see the second column. Quiz yourself! Write down the words you know in the third column. (Skip the words you don't know.)
Open the first column and CHECK your spelling. Underline or star words any words you missed and study them before you move on to the next column.
Then -- fold the first and second column behind and write the words in the fourth column. Again, skip the words you don't know.
Open up, check your translations. Underline or star words any words you missed and study them before you move on to the next column.
Fold the first three columns behind, write down words in the column that is just to the right of the fourth column (the column is on the back of the page) to quiz yourself. Again, skip the words you don't know. (Hopefully there won't be too many by now.)
Check your answers and study one more time.
Open the back of the page where you have written in one column (from step 9), write down the translations in the column to the left of it (when you finish you will have written in the two center columns on the back.
Check yourself one more time by folding the right or left sides over (to reveal the front sides).
